Because Music is Essential

Porch Music was created by a group of Kansas City-based musicians who felt a strong need for live music in an unprecedented time. Residing in the West Plaza neighborhood, these musicians took to their porches and invited their neighbors for sight-reading sessions that eventually became weekly concerts. Now, Porch Music is an event that neighbors look forward to and depend upon from week to week.

Porch Music KC is available for booking at a porch, patio, or lawn near you! We believe that live music is the best way to lift spirits and to enrich communities. Our ensemble was created in the COVID-19 pandemic, so we are equipped to perform under social distancing guidelines while still maintaining a fascinating variety of music and instruments.
